GAP Protection

What is it?

It is a debt waiver between the customer and the lienholder.

What Does it do?

In the event of a total loss during the coverage period of the RV, it will pay the difference between the scheduled payoff of the loan and the fair market value provided by the insurance claim, including the deductible.

What does Truncated Mean?

Truncated GAP covers the initial time period instead of the full term. For example, a 72-month truncated GAP on a 240-month loan would pay if there was an eligible total loss of the covered RV in the first 72 months of the loan.

Can I buy it later?

You cannot purchase a debt waiver after loan origination as it must be a part of the initial retail sales installment contract (loan document) to “waive” the debt.

Is GAP Insurance?

There is a type of GAP insurance that pays an additional benefit in the event of loss, you can contact your insurance agent for a quote if they offer it.

The GAP that our partners offer is a Debt Waiver product, and not insurance, although it can be regulated by insurance departments for consumer protection and enforcement of state laws.

Am I required to buy GAP?

NO! It is not a requirement to purchase any additional products in order to secure a loan with our partners. In fact, in some cases, GAP is not offered when it is determined that no GAP can exist due to considerable down payments, financing less than 70% of the value of the RV.

Is GAP transferrable?

In most cases no; however, if the loan is being assumed by another individual, and it is authorized by the customer and lienholder, it may be transferred. Please call us at the number on your contract for assistance transferring your contract.

Is GAP Cancellable?

Yes! If you pay off the loan early, you may receive a refund of the unexpired portion of the purchase amount from the selling partner. You may also cancel and have the refund returned to the lienholder to reduce your loan amount. You may contact us directly for a cancellation quote by calling the number on your contract.

Service Contracts

What is a Service Contract?

It is an agreement to pay for listed or non-excluded mechanical and electrical repairs to your RV which occur during the term of the contract.

What does it do?

When mechanical or electrical failures occurs, the service contract will help to cover the costs for labor and parts that have failed. It provides protection for those unexpected out-of-pocket expenses that happen due to wear and tear over time. Many of the plans also provide Technical Support, Mobile Mechanic Services, Roadside Assistance or Towing.

Can I buy it later?

You can purchase a service contract for the first 90 days following your purchase without an inspection of your RV. However, once it is over 90-days from your purchase date, you will need to have it inspected by an authorized service facility prior to eligibility and you will be responsible to repair any failed parts.

What does it cover?

Our contracts are offered in three coverage groups:

Core Coverage (Motorhomes Only) – provides stated component coverage for “The Box”; that is the portion of the Motorhome that was upfitted to the Chassis.

Essential Coverage (All RVs) – includes all components of the Core Coverage and additional stated components. For older RVs (10-20 years), Essential Coverage provides stated component coverage for the major mechanical systems of your RV.

Ultimate Coverage (All RVs) – provides what is called “Exclusionary” coverage. Rather than list out the thousands of parts and components protected by the plan, only certain items are “Excluded”, such as plastic trim parts, exterior graphics, routine maintenance, etc.

There are additional coverages available to enhance each of these plans, please see your seller and your copy of the contract for complete availability.

Is it transferrable? Is it Cancellable?

Our contracts are transferrable and cancellable! Please contact the seller or our administrative offices for assistance. Transfer and cancellation fees vary by state; please see your contract for details.

Is it transferrable?

Yes you can! Please call us at the number on your contract for assistance transferring your contract.

Is it Cancellable?

No. Since the system is permanently installed, once installed and activated, the theft protection is in force.

What types of Anti-Theft Protection Systems are available?

We provide multiple types of Anti-Theft Systems:

Anti-Theft Label systems are applied to multiple locations on your RV. Each label has a UV code that remains even if the label itself has been removed.

GPS Systems provide protection in two different modes

GPS Option One is a wireless, self-contained battery system that gives a twice daily location. Should your unit be stolen, you may activate the Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR) mode via an application or by calling us. We will coordinate with local law enforcement to recover your stolen RV.

GPS Option Two is powered by a low voltage wired connection to the RV and an internal battery. It can provide SVR plus additional services on demand, such as low battery alerts, geo- fencing, and other connected services.

In some cases, the dealership has an option of combining the labeling system with GPS for a layered approach. Please ask your seller about which options are available to best give you peace of mind knowing your RV is protected from theft.
